Hyatt Hotels Corporation is set to increase its presence in Mexico by 30% by 2025, with plans to open nine new hotels in the country over the next two years. The American chain, which recently acquired Apple Leisure Group and Dream Hotel Group, is now the largest operator of luxury hotels in Mexico and the Caribbean. Some of the destinations where Hyatt will expand its presence include Cancun, Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, and Baja California.

Among the upcoming openings is the Hyatt Regency Mexico City Insurgentes, set to open this spring, and the Park Hyatt Los Cabos (Cabo del Sol), which will be the first of its brand in the country and is expected to open in 2024. Also set to open in 2024 is The Chatwal San Miguel, which will feature 44 independent villas and 125 residences. In 2025, luxury brand Thompson will open in Monterrey, and Park Hyatt will debut in Mexico City.

In addition to Hyatt’s expansion, The Inclusive Collection will also be expanding its offerings of all-inclusive luxury resorts throughout Mexico, with upcoming openings including the Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club and the Dreams Estrella Del Mar Mazatlan. By the end of 2023, Inclusive Collection expects to have over 45 resorts with more than 16,000 rooms throughout Mexico. Hyatt’s expansion in Mexico is part of the company’s commitment to providing ultra-luxury offerings that exceed the expectations of guests, partners, and customers.
