Just over 50% of the real estate projects currently being carried out in Quintana Roo are based in Tulum.

The rest is divided between Playa del Carmen and Cancun, which speaks of a considerable increase in this sector, especially in regard to tourist residential and vertical housing, said Miguel Ángel Lemmus, of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals. , during one of his speeches at the Real Estate Forum which took place in Cancun, Quintana Roo.

Although the professional had previously touched on the subject by reporting that the pandemic had increased real estate tourism and with it the appearance of more developments, during the Cancun Investment Summit 2022 he stressed that this rise is mainly due to the search for new communities focused on health and well-being, that provide everything necessary to its inhabitants, within a wide territorial space and in contact with nature.

Thus, the southern area of the state of Quintana Roo has become the spearhead for this real estate development plan that has benefited from projects related to the Mayan Train, with Tulum being one of the preferred points due to its benefits: spacious spaces, virgin beaches and tourist attraction.

Thanks to the increase in Foreign Direct Investment in Tourism (FDI), generated from January to June 2022, which amounted to 2,779 million dollars, exceeding what was captured in all of 2019, which was 1,295 million dollars, according to the Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Miguel Torruco Marqués, the construction of micro-communities and complexes in this area skyrocketed.

Some of the most awaited projects and developments are; Selvazama, the Tulum Green School, the arrival of Nobu Tulum, the growth of the exclusive Nuevo Tulum and the development of the Nopalitos Lagoon. Also we are having more commercial center open offering more entertainment options for visitors.
